I start every web project by identifying the main goals of the site, technical functionality and turnaround times. Whether I am designing a site and building it myself or part of a larger team, the planning stage is the most important phase of a web project.
Once initial specs and goals are obtainined the wireframing stage begins. I sketch out ideas until I have a solid plan together and then create the wireframes that include content and suggestions for visuals.
A successful web site evolves around solid content, and anything designed has to help solidify that message.
